Happy Chrismukkah Eve Everyone!
Today's self-love challenge is Digital Declutter!
The Cringy Version:
Declutter your digital world to create space for clarity, focus, and peace of mind.
SELF LOATHE CLUB Version:
I’m deleting 374 screenshots of memes I’ll never use, clearing 12,000 unread emails, and trying not to get distracted by cat videos halfway through.
Why This Is Self-Love (Especially for ADHD Brains):
- Reduces Mental Overwhelm: Digital clutter is still clutter, and it takes up space in your brain.
- Improves Focus: Fewer notifications, fewer digital distractions. ADHD brains are already bouncing around enough without 47 random desktop icons.
- Saves Time: You’ll actually be able to find that one file or email when you need it.
- Instant Satisfaction: It’s a quick win. Even clearing one folder feels like crossing something off your to-do list.
The SELF LOATHE CLUB Challenge:
- Step 1: Pick one thing—your phone photos, desktop files, or your email inbox. Don’t try to do it all.
- Step 2: Set a 15-minute timer. ADHD hack: a time limit keeps you from hyper-focusing for six hours straight.
- Step 3: Delete duplicates, organize what’s left, and give yourself permission to not make it perfect.
At the end of the day, digital clutter adds invisible weight to your brain. Today, we’re shedding a little bit of that weight.
